About the Role:

As a key member of our team at Iconic Recruit, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Portfolio Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of retail assets, driving performance, and developing strategies for additional income streams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and Maintain Tenant Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, driving performance and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies for additional income streams, including casual leasing, storage, signage, and car parking.
  • Manage Debtors: Oversee the management of debtors for the asset, ensuring timely payment and minimizing bad debt.
  • Assist with Performance Metrics: Assist the Portfolio Manager with annual performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the Leasing Team: Support the Leasing team with tenant risk assessment, lease obligations, and occupancy optimization.
  • Manage Critical Events: Manage critical events, ensuring accuracy of tenancy schedules, and oversee monthly rent roll and billings in collaboration with the Property Accountant.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Collect and analyze monthly retailer turnover data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to Strategic Planning: Contribute to the Strategic Asset Plan, making recommendations for capital improvements and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead Asset-Specific Marketing Initiatives: Lead asset-specific marketing initiatives, supporting the execution of the marketing strategy and driving business growth.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain presentation quality, and enhance customer experience in day-to-day asset management.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience as a Retail or Administration Manager for shopping centres.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Software Familiarity: Familiarity with MRI Property Management Software is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Understanding of Retail Leasing: Understanding of retail leasing and stakeholder management.
  • Leadership and People Management: Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
