About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Property Accountant to join a leading property company who owns, operates, and develops world-class assets that deliver the best outcomes for their tenants, investors, and the communities in which they work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality financial reports to enable accurate and informed decision-making for the successful performance of a portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail properties.
  • Assist on-site managers in completing finance-related tasks to meet required deadlines for internally managed properties.
  • Liaise with external property management companies for appropriate assets.
  • Prepare analytical data for the benefit of the management team.
  • Conduct quarterly reforecasting.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets for the allocated portfolio of properties.
  • Supervise and provide direction to Property Accountants and Accounts Administrators (Payables and Receivables).
  • Drive and monitor the process that ensures purchase orders are processed and enables suppliers and contractors to be paid in a timely manner.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of financial information to confirm integrity.
  • Provide commentary and review the financial performance of properties with the Finance Manager and Asset Managers on a monthly basis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in retail property accounting.
  • Be a CPA/CA qualified finance professional.
  • Have excellent knowledge of accounting standards with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
