The Senior Officer, Student Event is a key position within the Student Life portfolio, responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating a comprehensive student events calendar. This role leads the planning, promotion, and delivery of a vibrant events and activity program with broad appeal to the La Trobe University student body.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver a dynamic student events calendar that meets the needs of the student body.
- Lead the planning, promotion, and delivery of events and activities that foster a sense of community and engagement among students.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support students at every stage of the student life cycle.
- Develop and maintain relationships with student associations, marketing, customer care, and other university staff to ensure a cohesive and effective student experience.
- Manage and coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of events and activities, making recommendations for improvement.
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, deliver outputs in a timely manner, and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution-oriented approach.
