About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Coordinator, Indigenous Student Engagement. This role will play a critical part in enhancing opportunities for Indigenous Australians at La Trobe University and promoting university activities within Indigenous Australian communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the participation, retention, and success of Indigenous students at the Shepparton campus
  • Lead the Indigenous Student Engagement team and work closely with the Munarra Centre of Regional Excellence and associated partners
  • Develop and promote pathways to higher education for Indigenous students
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared goals and initiatives
Requirements
  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree
  • Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in Indigenous Australian cultures, historical and contemporary issues affecting participation in education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders
