About This Role
This role focuses on the early stages of a major civil project, setting up procurement strategies and managing tender processes. You will work closely with technical, legal, and financial teams to ensure contracts are sound and compliant.

  • Develop and manage pre-contract strategies aligned with project goals
  • Lead tender preparation, submission, evaluation, and award processes
  • Negotiate contract terms to ensure fair risk allocation
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks early
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and funding bodies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement guidelines and regulations
  • Support smooth handover from pre-contracts to project delivery teams
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or related field
  • Experience in pre-contract phases of major civil infrastructure projects (roads preferred)
  • Strong understanding of relevant procurement legislation and public sector frameworks
  • Skilled in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of tender evaluation
  • Effective communicator with experience engaging multiple stakeholders
  • Professional memberships desirable
