Job Description

As a Project Manager, your objective is to plan, organise and direct assigned projects to successful completion within allocated timeframes and budgets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and oversee all phases of electrical projects, from initiation through to final handover, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across major and minor works with consistent delivery standards.
  • Develop, implement and monitor project schedules, tracking milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and formal client handover.
  • Work with estimators and the ASP Operations Manager to set and manage project budgets.
  • Optimise resource allocation of labour, materials, and equipment to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Review and approve project-related timesheets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and correct leave/break management.
  • Provide timely financial data and reports for internal analysis and leadership visibility.
  • Ensure project invoicing is accurate, timely, and aligned with contract terms.
  • Lead and mentor site supervisors and project team leaders, offering support, guidance, and motivation to meet deliverables.
  • Allocate teams according to skillsets, authorisations, and project requirements.
  • Deliver thorough handovers from project planning to site leadership to ensure execution readiness.
  • Review internal designs for constructability, providing feedback to design and field teams.
  • Maintain professional and proactive client communication, creating a positive project experience.
  • Liaise with estimators, site leaders and clients on project variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
  • Escalate or mitigate project risks that may impact budget, timelines, or safety.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to the ASP Operations Manager and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specs and company standards.
  • Work with HSEQ teams to uphold safety and quality standards across all project activities.
  • Promote a safety-first culture among all field teams and ensure safety procedures and documentation are completed thoroughly.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the project team and broader business Create a climate that motivates people to do their best, assess each person's strengths and attributes to allow them to work to the most productive
  • Maintain conduct that is always respectful to others
  • Conduct monthly 1:1's with your direct reports
  • Liaise with People and Culture regarding team member's performance, including performance concerns or disciplinary issues that arise
  • Run regular employee performance development discussions outside of the annual appraisal process, including tracking goals and initiatives
  • Liaise with P&C to undertake probation reviews within appropriate timeframes

Experience:

  • Proven experience in successfully managing Level 1 projects
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and standards
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams
  • Proven problem-solving capability
  • Relevant industry experience

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Construction Industry Induction (White card)
  • Leadership and Management or relevant experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
