Our organization seeks an experienced professional to fill the role of Community Engagement Manager.

This position is based in Sydney and involves working with regional communities to bring long-term benefits through a symbiotic relationship.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality project communication and engagement materials, as well as running existing community engagement activities and programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing detailed project communication and engagement plans.
  • Providing support to lead and co-develop project-specific community investment plans.
  • Ensuring alignment across external messaging to stakeholders, landowners, and the community.

This role requires excellent writing and communication skills, as well as knowledge of principles for effective public participation, stakeholder relations, and community engagement.

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in community relations and consultation work.
  • Experience in wind farm projects is essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in arts, communication, public relations, or relevant experience.
  • Proven team leadership skills and experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage and develop detailed project communication and engagement plans and materials.

Provide support to lead and co-develop project specific community investment plans (coordination of internal and external parties).

Interface with internal business units to ensure alignment across external messaging to stakeholders, landowners, and the community in general.

Excellent writing and communication skills are required, along with a professional approach to community relations. Knowledge of principles for effective public participation, stakeholder relations and community engagement is also necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in community relations and consultation work.

Experience in wind farm projects is highly desirable.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as arts, communication, public relations, or relevant experience are essential.

Proven team leadership skills and experience are also required.
