Backed by a passionate team of over 100 volunteers and dedicated staff, CHS delivers lifesaving services that strengthen community resilience. From free, accredited CPR and first aid training to first aid equipment supply, on-the-ground event medical coverage, and a 24/7 emergency medical response and advice line - saving lives every day - we're redefining how local communities prepare for and respond to medical emergencies.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, relationship-driven fundraising professional to join CHS as our
Fundraising & Engagement Lead

. This is a mid-level role ideal for someone who thrives on community connection, is a passionate fundraiser who has experience in engaging with donors at all levels, and is confident in owning and driving campaigns.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with our Marketing Coordinator and volunteer marketing committee, you'll be responsible for growing and retaining CHS's donor base, leading fundraising campaigns, and strengthening our presence in the community.

This is a strategic and execution-focused role. You'll play a key role in creating CHS's fundraising strategy and building the foundations for fundraising success. You will also be responsible for executing the strategy, engaging with donors, and managing all fundraising campaigns and appeals.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising strategy

  • Work with the Executive Director and the Board to build a fundraising strategy for the short, medium, and long term
  • Periodically lead a review of the strategy and make necessary adjustments

Donor Growth & Retention

  • Design and implement strategies to grow the number of individual and recurring donors
  • Strengthen donor relationships through engagement and communication to increase loyalty and long-term giving

Campaign Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of key fundraising campaigns, including a Giving Day and other appeals
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, reporting on outcomes and learnings

Community Engagement

  • Represent CHS at community events and create opportunities to deepen local support
  • Identify and pursue new outreach and donor engagement opportunities

Major Donor Support

  • Support the Executive Director and the Board in managing major donor relationships
