Job Summary:

Southern Cross Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Innisfail QLD. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals.
  • Monitor and document client progress and care provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities (not essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes.
About the Role:

This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 per annum, reflecting the skills and qualifications required to provide exceptional care and support to our clients. You will also receive ongoing learning and development opportunities, including CPI training, as well as annual flu vaccination and reimbursement for maintaining first aid and CPR certifications.
