Job Description

An Asset Protection Officer plays a vital role in the administration of the City's asset protection system to safeguard public infrastructure assets and maintain community safety.

Duties
  • Develop and implement the City's comprehensive Asset Protection System for security bonds, road openings, restorations, occupations, inspections, vehicle crossings, and service installations.
  • Evaluate applications for vehicle crossing modifications and provide detailed quotes for contractors, authorities, and residents.
Responsibilities
  1. Post-trade certificate or post-secondary qualification with relevant on-the-job training.
  2. Experience in contract supervision related to road maintenance and construction is highly desirable.
  3. Familiarity with sections of the Council's Road Management Plan, Local Laws, Policies, and Local Government Act.
  4. Knowledge of Council Standards, Design Guidelines, and ability to interpret construction drawings.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling confidential information and producing clear reports and correspondence.
  6. Proven commitment to quality customer service, including conflict resolution.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  8. Current Victorian Driver's License.
