Job Title: Organisational Development Advisor

The Shire of Ashburton is seeking a seasoned Organisational Development (HR) professional to join our dynamic Human Resources team working remotely. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-established role, with the current incumbent retiring after over four years of dedicated and successful service.

About the Role
  • This hands-on, generalist position involves working across professional teams and outdoor crews in site-based environments.
  • You'll be a trusted ER/IR advisor, offer stakeholder coaching, driving initiatives that support employee engagement and a safety culture, while balancing operational HR and strategic organisational development outcomes.
  • Frequent site visits will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice on employment relations and industrial relations matters.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive employee engagement and a positive safety culture.
  3. Balancing operational HR and strategic organisational development outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Substantial HR and ER experience, ideally in remote or site-based environments.
  • Confidence navigating complex employee matters with resilience and tact.
  • Pivot between strategic thinking and operational delivery.
  • Build strong relationships and drive positive change.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused.
