About the PracticeOur gastroenterology specialists provide high-quality patient care with a focus on professionalism, compassion, and service. We operate in a modern paperless environment using advanced software solutions. Our team is supportive, welcoming, and efficient.
About the RoleThis casual role offers approximately 35-50 hours per fortnight and reports directly to the doctor and practice manager. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional service to patients and healthcare professionals, in person and over the phone
- Manage appointments, patient data, correspondence, accounts, and clinical files using our software solution:
- Co-ordinate theatre lists and hospital admissions
- Perform daily financial reconciliations
- Liaise with hospitals and other healthcare providers
- Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 12 months' experience in administration, reception, or medical practice support (medical reception experience highly regarded)
- Strong computer literacy; familiarity with medical or accounting software preferred
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation
- A professional, compassionate, and approachable manner
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Flexibility to assist with additional hours when needed
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with unrestricted work rights
