CMC Markets Asia Pacific Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Team Lead to join our IT Production team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the success of our operations.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 5 days per week at our Barangaroo office. As a Technical Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team that delivers 3rd tier application support and DevOps services. You will oversee project delivery, implement automation, and enhance release management processes.

You will work closely with IT Development and Operations teams to identify requirements and implement effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the team, providing guidance and technical escalation when needed.

  • Lead a high-performing team environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.
  • Take ownership of live service issues, driving their resolution to minimise recurring technical problems and enhance system stability.
  • Implement and refine automation, leveraging version-controlled configurations and orchestration tools.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years' experience of line management in a similar role
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft .NET applications on Windows Server
  • Proficiency with CI/CD toolsets and automation, preferably Terraform, Octopus Deploy, and GitHub
  • Skilled in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Golang, or Python
