About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team as a Hardware Team Lead. As a key member of our research and development consulting business, you will play a crucial role in fostering innovation and maintaining quality standards in electronics design across all stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster the development and growth of the electronics team, aligning with strategic growth objectives
  • Ensure adherence to the company's quality management system, upholding quality standards
  • Estimate project requirements, allocate resources, forecast project needs, and recruit team members as necessary
  • Conduct technical reviews and approvals of electronic hardware designs
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for clients and project managers regarding electronics design-related incidents
  • Enhance and maintain electronic hardware design processes, procedures, systems, and documentation
  • Regularly conduct performance management, feedback sessions, and performance reviews with team members, maintaining adherence to company standards
  • Facilitate training and staff development for the electronics team members
Requirements
  • Meet citizenship or visa requirements for Australia
  • Hold a degree from a reputable university, such as a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Possess at least 7 years of experience as a professional electronics design engineer
  • Demonstrate competence in designing both analog and digital electronics
  • Have experience in designing electronic products from the concept phase through to manufacturing
  • Possess proficiency in Altium schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
