Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technical feasibility and options for solutions
  • Identify low-level dependencies, technical risks, and mitigation options
  • Ensure technical health of the asset and adherence to a technical debt budget
  • Work closely with Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Designer to establish technical requirements and lead the technical direction of the work
  • Set and continuously improve technical standards and relevant patterns for software delivery
  • Ensure the smooth running of the delivery team, focusing on quality and delivery excellence
  • Provide mentorship to developers on principles and practices, ensuring consistency in approach

Requirements

  • Experience with Ruby-on-Rails, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js
  • Desirable experience with Kubernetes
  • Leading a team of engineers and providing mentorship to more junior engineers
  • Designing software solutions for scale
  • Optimizing engineering practices and processes
  • Data-informed decision making
  • Working with one of the common Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD
  • Working in Agile environments
