About the Role:

Sikorsky Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Simulator Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Simulation and Training team, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, repair, and modification of electronic equipment for our Ground-Based Training Simulators (GBTS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, repair, and modify electronic equipment following technical manuals or verbal instructions.
  • Perform hand soldering of surface mount components to a high standard.
  • Assist investigations into non-standard technical problems to ensure simulator up-time.
  • Provide updates as required on technical aspects of maintenance and performance.
  • Maintain effective customer communications and relations and represent the Company in a professional manner.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of digital processing equipment, audio-visual equipment, PC, server, and associated LAN networks and systems, communication systems, and experience with Linux OS.
  • A good ability to work with management and other non-technical staff to achieve successful outcomes for the broader organisation.
  • Well-developed problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Good self-motivation, ability to work in a very dynamic environment.
  • Good ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing conditions and customer requirements.

Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current Baseline security clearance. Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
