At Lockheed Martin Australia, we are seeking a skilled Flight Simulator Technician to join our team. As a Flight Simulator Technician, you will play a critical role in the repair and maintenance of Ground-Based Training Simulators (GBTS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, testing, repairing, and modifying electronic equipment according to technical manuals or verbal instructions.
  • Performing hand soldering of surface mount components to a high standard.
  • Assisting investigations into non-standard technical problems to ensure simulator uptime.
  • Providing updates as required on technical aspects of maintenance and performance.
  • Maintaining effective customer communications and relations and representing the Company in a professional manner.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of digital processing equipment, audio-visual equipment, PC, server, and associated LAN networks and systems, communication systems, and experience with Linux OS.
  • A good ability to work with management and other non-technical staff to achieve successful outcomes for the broader organisation.
  • Well-developed problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Good self-motivation, ability to work in a very dynamic environment.
  • Good ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing conditions and customer requirements.
