Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a skilled Flight Simulator Technician to join our team. As a Flight Simulator Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ground-Based Training Simulators (GBTS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD).
About the Role:The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the optimal performance of our simulators. You will be working with a range of electronic equipment, including digital processing, audio-visual, and communication systems. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure simulator uptime.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, test, repair, and modify electronic equipment according to technical manuals or verbal instructions.
- Perform hand soldering of surface mount components to a high standard.
- Assist in investigations into non-standard technical problems to ensure simulator up-time.
- Provide updates as required on technical aspects of maintenance and performance.
- Maintain effective customer communications and relations and represent the Company in a professional manner.
To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of digital processing equipment, audio-visual equipment, PC, server, and associated LAN networks and systems, communication systems, and experience with Linux OS. You will also have good ability to work with management and other non-technical staff to achieve successful outcomes for the broader organisation.
You will be a well-developed problem solver, planner, and organiser with the ability to motivate and influence others. You will also have good self-motivation, ability to work in a very dynamic environment, and good ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing conditions and customer requirements.
