The RS Group plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Executive to join our team as a Key Account Manager. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for optimizing sales revenue from a designated account portfolio by serving as the primary point of contact for customers and building effective relationships with high-opportunity accounts.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive incremental sales and identify growth opportunities within the territory.
- Prioritize sales activities, including call plans, visits, and roadshows, to ensure customer segmentation and geography is managed and maintained.
- Build a detailed understanding of customers, markets, and competitors, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Develop professional working partnerships with internal and external networks.
- Stay up-to-date with RS's product ranges, technologies, sales practices, and procedures.
**Requirements**
- Relevant technical experience or sales experience in a technical business-to-business environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on own initiative.
- Results-driven with a focus on profit margin.
- Commercial awareness, particularly around cost of acquisition and profitability.
- Proficient in sales and negotiation techniques.
- Familiar with store and supply agreements/contracts.
- Ability to cross-reference products using specifications and technical parameters.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Able to build positive relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience of using a CRM (SAP).
