Graduate Natural Hazards Planning Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to fill a graduate position in our natural hazards planning team. This immersive 12-month program offers the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, contribute to a range of projects and initiatives that shape and connect our City, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your chosen career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a technically proficient understanding of natural hazard policy in broader land use planning contexts.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality reports and briefings on natural hazard policy and land use planning issues.
  • Support the wider team in representing Natural Hazards in various forums and projects as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external).
Requirements:
  • A recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Urban or Environmental Planning, or a related field of natural hazards planning, disaster planning/resilience, climate change adaptation or similar.
  • Full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program.
  • Ability to work full-time.
