
Disaster Resilience Specialist

We are seeking a talented graduate to join our Disaster and Emergency Management team, where you will contribute towards the development and implementation of plans and programs that support communities to prevent, prepare, respond, and recover from disaster events.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a relevant field, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Job Description:- Assist in developing exercises, community plans, and local disaster management plans to enhance community resilience and response capabilities.
- Support community engagement programs to build personal disaster awareness and education, promoting a culture of safety and preparedness.
- Undertake research and analysis to inform action and implementation of the Disaster Resilience Scorecard, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
You will work closely with industry leaders and experts, benefiting from their guidance and coaching. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through training, professional development, and networking opportunities.
Requirements:- Recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically and creatively.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive team dynamic.
