Graduate Natural Hazards Planner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Natural Hazards Planning Graduate to join our team.

This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those new to the field of urban and environmental planning to gain valuable experience in natural hazard policy development and implementation.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure that our natural hazard mapping and City Plan requirements remain up-to-date, reducing risk at the interface between communities and the natural environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of natural hazard policy and its implementation in land use planning contexts, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A recognized bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution in Urban or Environmental Planning or a related field of natural hazards planning, disaster planning/resilience, climate change adaptation, or similar.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, ability to convey ideas clearly, listen attentively, and collaborate effectively.
