We are seeking a motivated and driven graduate to join our team in Disaster and Emergency Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of plans and programs that support the community to prevent, prepare, respond and recover from disaster events.
Job Details- Assist in developing exercises, community plans, local disaster management plans and subplans.
- Support identifying risks, mitigation and response activities to support Queensland Disaster Risk Management framework.
- Support engagement programs to build personal disaster awareness and education in the community.
- Undertake research and analysis to inform action and implementation of the Disaster Resilience Scorecard.
- Assist in project support for the Severe Wind resilience program.
- Support developing applications and administration for grant funding opportunities.
- A recognized bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as Global Development, Global Studies, Emergency and Disaster Management, Humanitarianism and Development, Disaster Risk and Resilience.
- Full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program.
- Ability to work full-time.
