Project Officers, Silent Cell Processing Team


Job Description:

The Australian Electoral Commission is an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management. We focus on electoral integrity through the values of quality, agility, and professionalism.

The Silent Elector Processing Cell is a newly formed team within the Service Design and Foundations Branch. This section is responsible for day-to-day management of all enrolment-based activities for silent electors.

This position supports the Silent Cell Processing team by providing support, training, and technical advice related to Silent Elector policy.

In this role, you will scope work and allocate tasks while maintaining a cohesive and productive workplace.

You'll be able to gather relevant data, mitigate risk, and generate accurate conclusions, subsequently developing innovative initiatives to improve business efficiency.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Analytical ability to undertake moderately complex technical tasks with exceptional accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.

- Demonstrated ability to successfully monitor and allocate work, set priorities, and maintain a cohesive workplace.

- Ability to make sound decisions that show good judgment and technical expertise in a high-pressure environment.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders and electors.

- Knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice, or ability to quickly gain knowledge.

- Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software.
