About the Role

We are seeking a Mine Geology Superintendent to lead our underground mine geology and core processing teams onsite at Olympic Dam. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all underground mine geology activities, driving technical excellence to ensure geological information is accurately collected and translated into meaningful insights that support orebody optimisation and extraction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritise safety by managing risks effectively and demonstrating strong safety leadership behaviours.
  • Oversee key functional areas, including diamond drill design/scheduling, core logging and processing, stope design, underground production support, mapping and reconciliation.
  • Drive cultural and capability growth by inspiring your team and promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure Geoscience Excellence through delivering the right data at the right time to support geological outputs such as block models and 5-year plans.
  • Champion continuous improvement in geological processes to optimise ore recovery, reduce dilution and meet production goals.
  • Create and nurture successful working relationships across departments to ensure geological work aligns with broader operational needs.

About You

  • Experienced geology leader with a proven ability to influence, coach, and mentor individuals and teams.

  • Exposure to underground mining and diamond drilling, with a solid understanding of mining cycles, grade control, and reconciliation.
  • Software experience in Vulcan, Leapfrog, and/or Deswik is desirable.
