Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Operations Manager to join our team in the Hunter Valley region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take their career to the next level.

About the Role

As a Production Crew Supervisor, you will be embedded as part of our client's wider production team. You will work directly with our client's team of Supervisors and Superintendents to help minimize operator delays and optimize equipment utilization. Primarily, this role will support the execution of efficient hauling activities through management of available labor and resources based on skill and experience of employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimize operator delays and optimize equipment utilization
  • Support the execution of efficient hauling activities
  • Manage available labor and resources based on skill and experience of employees
  • Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with client Supervisors, Superintendents, and dispatch teams

Requirements

  • A strong 'Safety Comes First' attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A can-do, positive attitude that fosters teamwork and a genuine focus on client needs and employee well-being
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members into a high-performing team
  • Previous Supervision or Account Management experience (including leading hands/step-ups)
  • Desired but not essential - previous operating experience on mechanical and/or electric haul trucks or open cut mining production experience
