The Opportunity:

We are seeking a strategic Procurement Lead to join our Water Division in Southbank. This pivotal role will focus on developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships across diverse portfolios, including:

- Design and construction of improvements for water treatment facilities

- Specialist technical equipment (estimated spend $50m over 5 years)

- Enhancing national spend strategies and supporting regional buyers to continuously improve value.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial all-rounder to make a significant impact in an innovative and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Lead the procurement function strategy, including long-term growth and improvement plans.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of procurement professionals.
  • Optimise procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement policies and best practices.
  • Analyse spending patterns and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives.
