Job Opportunity

This is an entry-level position as a Drillers Assistant with a traineeship option.

About the Role

We are seeking someone to assist in various tasks, including:

  • Following the guidance of the Driller and actively listening to their instructions
  • Conducting daily equipment checks to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Completing necessary paperwork and processes related to safety protocols
  • Assisting with routine maintenance and cleaning of rigs, machines, and equipment
  • Loading and unloading heavy vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Assisting in setting up, dismantling, and moving rigs and associated equipment
  • Manual handling of drill rods, sample bags, core trays, etc. with attention to detail and safety

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An HR-B Unrestricted Licence with no restrictions
  • Prior experience as a Driller's Assistant or similar role
  • Residency in Queensland with the ability to relocate if necessary
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical examination
  • A clean Police Record from within the last 3 months
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • A current and valid S11
  • Willingness to commit to training and professional development
