Our Tech Risk TeamWe assist businesses in managing strategic, operational, and technology risks. Our services include advisory, technology risk remediation, and assurance services, as well as developing governance and technology risk management frameworks, facilitating solution workshops, and advising on technology risk and mitigation strategies.
About the RoleAs a key member of the RAS Leadership Team, you will support Partners in developing the IT Risk Advisory & Consulting business, executing RAS projects, handling client matters, building team performance, and ensuring operational excellence in engagement delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Build and mentor an IT Risk Advisory & Consulting team of highly skilled internal professionals.
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industry sectors, focusing on IT risk, controls, and assurance.
- Supervise and undertake fieldwork, preparing high-quality written reports or deliverables, adhering to budgets and timelines.
- Apply the firm's professional delivery standards to deliver insightful advice and exceptional client service.
- Drive the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Grow the practice through business development activities, collaborating with Partners, Senior Management, and other service lines across the broader BDO team.
We seek a highly motivated Manager with experience in consulting and professional services, specifically in tech risk advisory. You will bring:
- A strong background in information systems, accounting, or business-related tertiary qualifications.
- Certifications or qualifications relevant to the role, such as CISA, ITIL, COBIT5, CA, or CPA.
- Experience in IT General Controls (ITGC), Business Application Controls, SOC 1, 2, 3 reporting, Cyber Security, JSOX/SOX reviews, System Implementation and Data Migration reviews, and IT Resilience reviews.
- Expertise in IT risk management, including frameworks, risk processes, and methodologies.
- A strong working knowledge of key business risks across various industry sectors.
- Experience in proposals, project management, risk and control identification, and reporting.
- Ability to present to Senior Management, Boards, and ARCs, as well as facilitate workshops.
- Exposure to the latest best practices, methodologies, and frameworks in IT risk management and project management.
