Job Opportunity: IT Asset and Software Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset and Software Manager to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT hardware assets, from acquisition to disposal.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT hardware asset portfolios with respect to risk management, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
  • Develop and implement IT hardware asset lifecycle strategies, advising procurement and IT operations on optimal procurement strategies for IT hardware acquisitions.
  • Orient IT hardware deployments towards efficient usage and cost optimisation.
  • Oversee the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of contractual service support requirements and work to maintain compliance with service agreements.
  • Coordinate the documentation and management of contract-related information.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for asset and configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Align data management practices with organisational goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current and relevant experience in managing technology assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Experience in managing the IT asset lifecycle and configuration items for both hardware and software, specifically for end-users.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing tools is essential.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of asset and configuration management practices and principles.
  • Possess a basic understanding of ITIL V4 processes and principles.
