Job Opportunity

The successful candidate will drive audience engagement and increase visitation through public programs and events, ensuring the gallery's program aligns with the Council Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver annual exhibitions and public programs that meet community needs.
  • Manage the exhibition process, including receiving applications and coordinating logistics.
  • Develop promotional materials and opportunities to support the gallery's program.
  • Oversee contractual arrangements for services as required.
  • Establish partnerships with key stakeholders to develop art and cultural activities.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree or diploma in an art-related discipline with relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of curatorial practices and principles, including museum operations.
  • Ability to conduct original and community-informed research that supports innovative exhibitions and programs.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with communities and early-career artists.
  • Organizational and project management skills, with experience planning and managing events.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for arts and culture, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of curatorial practices.
