We are seeking a skilled Collection Manager to oversee the exhibition program and day-to-day operations of galleries. The successful candidate will drive engagement, increase visitation, and deliver public programs and events.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, deliver, and evaluate annual exhibitions and public programs, driving audience engagement and supporting council goals.
- Oversee the exhibition proposal process and manage contractual arrangements for service provision.
- Monitor gallery operations in accordance with council policies and procedures.
- Establish partnerships with stakeholders to develop, implement, and support art and cultural activities.
- Relevant degree or diploma with some experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in the visual arts or cultural sector.
- Highly developed skills in museum practices and principles.
- Ability to conduct research that supports innovative and socially engaged exhibitions and programs.
