Maintenance Technician

At Bright Food Asia Pacific, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Bendigo, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically proficient individual with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and report operational and safety issues to the Head Engineer, contributing to planned corrective action.
  • Maintain workshop and equipment areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Engineering Certificate 3 (metal fabrication or machining preferred)
  • Proficiency in manual arc, mig, and tig welding, as well as plasma and gas cutting
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems, chain and sprocket bearing setup
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Familiarity with lathe and mill operations
  • Understanding of basic electrical automation principles
  • Proven practical experience and ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues
  • Strong work planning and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating work demands and changing priorities
