Job Title: Maintenance Fitter 3rd Shift

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of skilled professionals in a maintenance fitter role. As a maintenance fitter, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on plant and equipment adhering to manufacturer recommendations to ensure safety product quality and production efficiency.
  • Plan schedule and organize tasks independently coordinating with other team members as necessary.
  • Execute emergency work orders promptly and provide troubleshooting expertise to minimize downtime.
  • Fabricate metal parts and subassemblies ensuring accuracy and proper fit using precision measuring instruments.
  • Set up and operate machining tools including cutting grinding and drilling to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances.
  • Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
  • Cut thread bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
  • Provide daily feedback and reports on work progress identifying delays and suggesting improvements to prevent repeat issues.
  • Supervise apprentices and contribute to a positive team environment participate in Safety Tool Box Meetings and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Commit to a Zero Harm safety philosophy ensuring all mechanical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
