Medical Professional Opportunity

The Northern Territory Remote Locum Program is an initiative dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

We are seeking experienced General Practitioners to provide medical treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

This role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.

  • Locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
  • Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to facilitate a smooth transition into remote healthcare.
  • Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

Required Qualifications:

  • A fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Minimum 250 hours of relevant clinical experience as a general practitioner within the past year.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognized by RACGP QA & CPD or ACRRM PDP.
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner (Level 1).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
