Primary Care Specialist

We seek an experienced Registered Nurse or Paramedic to join our team in a remote Queensland location.

This opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality clinical care in a challenging and rewarding work environment.

The specialist will deliver primary and emergency health care, including advanced life support and trauma management as required.

Responsibilities include conducting daily medical clinics, managing work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, and facilitating return-to-work planning.

The role also involves liaising with internal and external healthcare providers for medevacs and specialist referrals, conducting drug and alcohol testing, and facilitating health assessments such as audiometry and spirometry.

Additionally, the specialist will facilitate health-related training programs, maintain medical facilities and equipment, promote workplace health initiatives, and uphold health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and CPR Certification.
  • Trauma Qualification (e.g., PHTLS or TNCC).
  • Current certification in Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in remote or resource sector health service delivery is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in multidisciplinary team settings.
