Job Description

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee the resilience and performance of a critical infrastructure system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical services, integrating network assets, and coordinating projects from planning through to delivery.

They will also be accountable for overseeing network and system performance monitoring, ensuring operational issues inform strategic decision-making.

  • Leading geographically dispersed teams through transformation, delivering high-quality outcomes, and reporting to senior management.
  • Providing expert technical advice to stakeholders on the operational shift from traditional generation to high renewable penetration.
About the Role

This is a newly created position that requires a strong leader with significant industry experience in power system planning, modelling, analysis, and primary plant design.

  • Applying project management principles, ensuring timely completion to agreed quality standards.
  • Building and empowering a high-performing team, role modelling organisational values, and managing risk, compliance, and workforce planning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication.
  • In-depth understanding of the political, legal, and regulatory environment of the energy sector.
