Disaster Recovery Manager

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Disaster Recovery Manager to lead our Health Insurance Operations team in Melbourne.

About the Role

The Disaster Recovery Manager plays a key role in shaping and executing a robust disaster recovery strategy. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our disaster recovery framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of our disaster recovery strategy.
  • Develop, document, and maintain tolerance levels for critical operations and processes.
  • Oversee the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) program, including the development and testing of BCPs across all critical processes.
  • Design and implement a robust testing program, including scenario analysis and simulations.
  • Identify material service providers supporting critical operations and assess their disaster recovery capabilities.
About You

You are an experienced risk and resilience professional who thrives in complex environments. With deep technical knowledge and strong strategic thinking, you are passionate about embedding meaningful disaster recovery practices that protect customers, staff, and business continuity.

You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience in risk management, business continuity, or operational resilience in a large organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, particularly APRA Prudential Standards.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level BCPs and conducting large-scale testing initiatives.
