Support Services Coordinator for ADF Families

A Defence Schools Mentor is required to provide support and activities for Australian Defence Force (ADF) families. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with children, school staff, parents, and ADF members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver information and develop activities to ease the impact of mobility and service-related parental absence.
  • Communicate with primary and secondary school-aged children, school principals, staff, parents, ADF members, and their families.
  • Organise own work, set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently and as a team member, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Plan, deliver, and acquire resources relating to ADF families' needs.

This is a casual position working 20 hours per week during term time only. To be successful, you will need sound communication skills, organisational ability, and commitment to working within the context of this role.

Requirements
  • Current Ochre Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Sound communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate with children, school principals, staff, parents, ADF members, and their families.
  • Organisational ability and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and acquire resources.
  • Current driver's licence (MR Licence would be an advantage).
