Building and Development Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. This role will involve enforcing laws and regulations within the city's jurisdictional area.
The successful candidate will conduct inspections, lead investigations into suspected breaches of building and development compliance legislation, and prepare legal actions for enforcement.
To be successful, you must have a passion for compliance, developed negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply relevant building and development legislation.
- Practical experience in compliance/enforcement in Local Government or State Government or other relevant area.
- Sound analytical and decision-making skills.
- Sound negotiation and interpersonal skills.
