Senior Building Compliance Specialist

As a key figure in our compliance and emergency liaison team, you will be responsible for enforcing laws within the jurisdictional area of the city. This role involves conducting thorough investigations into suspected breaches of building and development compliance legislation, preparing legal actions for enforcement, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Our ideal candidate will possess substantial relevant practical experience in conducting compliance and enforcement investigations, as well as knowledge and ability to apply and interpret building and development legislation.
The successful applicant will have excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a passion for compliance and a commitment to upholding high standards in their work.
Substantial experience in customer service roles is also essential, along with knowledge of court procedures and the ability to understand, interpret, and apply relevant building and development legislation.
We are looking for someone who can lead by example, providing exceptional support to colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
