About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic investment and economic growth by designing and delivering targeted strategies to attract new businesses and secure domestic and international investment.
  • Influence policy and unlock infrastructure funding by advocating for reforms, funding commitments, and regulatory improvements that enable economic development and long-term regional growth.
  • Activate precincts and innovation hubs by overseeing the planning and activation of key economic areas to stimulate job creation, support entrepreneurship, and enhance Wodonga's competitiveness.

What You'll Need
  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Public Policy, Urban/Regional Planning, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of economic growth and investment attraction strategies that deliver measurable job creation and economic diversification outcomes in a regional context.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and successfully advocate for policies and funding that support local economic priorities.
  • Strong skills in managing complex projects and initiatives with competing priorities, ensuring delivery within timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Ability to analyse economic data and policy trends to inform strategic advice, coupled with excellent communication skills.
