About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Governance Specialist to provide high-level executive support, leadership and guidance to our management structures.

The successful candidate will work closely with our senior leaders to facilitate the delivery of key outcomes and develop strategic relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.

This is a fixed-term role supporting our Dental Board of Australia, based in Melbourne, working a hybrid arrangement (40% office, 60% remote). We offer a friendly and supportive working culture, sophisticated open-plan workspaces, and attractive remuneration packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership and support to our management structures
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of governance strategies and policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and manage key relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and professional associations
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as regulation, public health, policy, or government administration
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing and implementing governance strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and stakeholder engagement
  • A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
