Job Description

A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Warehousing and Logistics Leader to oversee all warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement across the function, with a focus on maintaining team capability through training, development, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a high-performing warehousing and logistics team
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant working environment
  • Develop and enforce clear policies, procedures, and documented practices
  • Maintain team capability through training, development, and succession planning
  • Oversee all warehousing functions including receipt, storage, distribution, and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure goods are processed, inspected, and recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Deliver excellent customer service through timely order fulfilment and clear communication
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives while managing operational risks
  • Operate a Just-In-Time Warehouse Management System
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 7+ years relevant Supply Chain, Warehousing and logistics experience within a shipbuilding/sustainment, engineering, manufacturing or Defence organisation
  • Strong understanding and working experience in a computerised ERP environment
  • Strong leader and coach, with excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Forklift License
