Workday Payroll Implementation Specialist

A Workday Payroll Implementation Specialist bridges the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex intersystem problems. This expert guides clients through transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude and can configure projects to meet business and design qualifications.

  • Become a Workday Payroll product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Leverage expertise to recommend solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, with flexibility to adapt scope as additional needs are identified.
  • Guide customers through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and understanding of unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
  • Regularly engage and support clients through all phases of the project, ensuring smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday Payroll.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while keeping clients, project team, and engagement manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
  • Workday Payroll implementation experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience highly desired.
  • 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software highly desired.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Minimal travel required but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
