Senior Contract Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts that are legally binding between both parties. This includes establishing contract terms and conditions, including service levels, fees, and financial obligations.

- Liaising with external legal practitioners and other departments to ensure deadlines and requirements of the contract are met
- Undertaking contract analysis and providing advice to stakeholders
- Drafting and revising contracts, which may include preparing documents for tender, negotiation of legal agreements with customers or suppliers and undertaking research on topics relevant to the industry
- Negotiating contracts with other companies or individuals per legislation
- Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations, including revisions to existing contracts
- Communicating changes in business obligations to individuals within an organisation
A Contract Manager is expected to perform various tasks including updating contract management software, arranging contracts with suppliers, customers or other external parties, sourcing, reviewing and revising documentation according to the needs of business operations, drafting or revising legal agreements per business requirements, liaising with external organisations regarding changes to contractual obligations, and performing other ad hoc administrative duties as required.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong understanding of contract law and legal requirements, and experience working with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:- Minimum Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years full-time experience in contract administration
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal requirements
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
