Temporary full-time, 80 hours per fortnight until 30 June 2026

We are looking for an exceptional Palliative Medicine consultant to join our Palliative Care department within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).

You will provide high quality Palliative care for our community, with a focus on leading safe care, driving quality improvement and innovation, and collaboratively contributing to department growth and development within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly and rotate across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Palliative Care Service, as operationally required.

This will include work in (but not limited to):

- Community Palliative Care
- Consultation Liaison Palliative Care
- Inpatient and Outpatient Palliative Care
- State-wide services including the Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service (SPaRTa)

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service offers:

- Base salary comprises between $8,062.00 - $9,364.50 p.f. - Staff Specialist L18 – L24
- Base salary comprises between $9,641.00 - $10,221.70 p.f. - Senior Staff Specialist L25 – L27
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time) $21,000 p.a. - Staff Specialist L18 – L24
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time) $25,500 p.a. - Senior Staff Specialist L25 – L27
- Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
- Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
- Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
- Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
