Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Coordinator

This diverse role will see you lead the way in driving people, safety, and performance across our underground mobile equipment fleet and dedicated crews.

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the maintenance activities of our mobile equipment fleet. This includes ensuring the accuracy of maintenance data, prioritizing and coordinating maintenance activities with the Maintenance Planner, and providing leadership support to maintenance personnel.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, you should have a high level of organization, be able to adjust to shifting demands and priorities, and have previous leadership experience in mobile maintenance operations.

This role requires an individual who is passionate about development, with a proven ability to mentor supervisors and teams to achieve their full potential. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Epiroc, CAT, and Sandvik underground mining equipment are essential for success in this position. Furthermore, exposure to maintenance planning and scheduling, as well as computer skills including SAP, INX, and Microsoft Office Suite, are highly desirable.

• Lead and Participate in PSI Meetings: Engage in collaborative discussions with the mining team to drive people, safety, and performance across our underground mobile equipment fleet and dedicated crews.
• Validate and Review Maintenance Data: Ensure the accuracy of maintenance data from the previous 24 hours to identify any discrepancies and follow up on necessary actions.
• Prioritize and Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to prioritize, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
• Provide Leadership Support: Offer guidance, support, and direction to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary resources and information to perform their duties effectively.
• Drive Workforce Planning: Be involved in recruitment and resourcing to ensure the right people are in the right roles to meet the needs of the business.
• Oversee Performance and Wellbeing: Monitor and support the performance, wellbeing, and development of maintenance personnel to ensure they are equipped to handle the demands of the role.
• Manage Performance and Conduct Investigations: Take responsibility for managing performance, conducting disciplinary processes, and leading formal investigations as required.
• Promote a Safety Culture: Foster and maintain a strong safety culture across all maintenance activities by identifying and addressing potential hazards and implementing process improvements.
• Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Continuously seek out opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and team effectiveness through process improvements and best practice implementation.

• Safety Focus: Demonstrated alignment to Gold Fields' core values, with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience in mobile maintenance operations, ideally within a large team environment.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Epiroc, CAT, and Sandvik underground mining equipment.
• Computer Skills: Exposure to maintenance planning and scheduling, as well as computer skills including SAP, INX, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Qualifications: Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification and S26 Supervisor certification or verified eligibility and willingness to obtain in line with WHS requirements.
