We are seeking a Senior Ocean Specialist to join our team. As a senior specialist, you will play an active role in shaping longer-term developments associated with ocean services.
You will nurture relationships with data stakeholders and help shape strategic engagement across a variety of external agencies, ports, researchers, and international organisations.
Your efforts will help ensure that our sea level data services remain trusted, relevant, and responsive.
Key Responsibilities- Curate tidal and sea level data to support our services.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders to facilitate the exchange and integration of tides and sea level data.
- Oversee sea level data processes that support operational services, including tide predictions, coastal forecasts, and warnings.
- Provide expert support and guidance on sea level data-related matters including data formats, data quality, and survey metadata.
- Developed data management skills within oceanographic fields.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and improving timeseries data processes, including integration across heterogeneous systems and addressing diverse user requirements.
- Familiarity with ocean services and related science, ideally related to tides, maritime operations, hydrography, or coastal processes.
- Ability to work constructively with diverse stakeholders and cultivate productive relationships.
