Director of Payroll Operations

Job Summary:
The Payroll Director will lead and direct a high-performing payroll team, overseeing accurate and compliant payroll across multiple countries. The role requires a strong grasp of legislation, awards, PAYG, superannuation, and compliance requirements.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing payroll team to achieve business objectives
- Oversee the efficient processing of payroll transactions for employees in multiple jurisdictions
- Ensure adherence to payroll tax, superannuation, and Fair Work obligations
- Develop and implement processes to streamline payroll operations and improve efficiency
- Provide expert guidance on payroll queries, compliance, and audits to stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with HR, Finance, Technology, and external vendors
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have significant payroll operations experience, including 1-2+ years in a leadership role, and proven success managing payroll teams across multiple jurisdictions. A mindset for improvement and a drive to work at pace and lead change are essential.
